Traffic Mirrors Explained

Traffic mirrors provide the ideal solution for roads where visibility is limited, or where additional awareness is required. With the aid of a traffic mirror, the risk of accident is lowered significantly at corners, junctions, sharp bends and when weather conditions are less than ideal. Whilst flat surfaced mirrors can be of use in traffic environments, it is the convex mirrors that offer the best visibility solution.

What is a "convex" mirror?

A convex mirror, sometimes known also as 'domed' or 'curved' mirror, is a type of mirror which has curved face. The curved face, dependent on the degree of curvature, allows for a larger field of vision than your usual flat surfaced mirror. The larger the curvature, the larger the field of vision, however there can be some distortion in the reflected image. Convex mirrors are perfect for road traffic areas with corners, junctions, or limited visibility.
